Dr Iqbal Shamsudheen

Iqbal Shamsudheen was awarded a BSc (Hons.) in Statistics from University of Malaya in 2008. In 2012, he went on to the National Defence University of Malaysia to study for an MSc in Statistics and was awarded the degree in 2014. He was able to secure a scholarship to read for a PhD in Statistical Science at University College London where he was awarded the degree in 2021. After completing his PhD, he worked with Ernst & Young as a Senior Associate in the Financial Services Risk Management sub-service line in Business Consulting. He is currently a senior lecturer with the Department of Defence Science, Faculty of Defence Science and Technology, National Defence University of Malaysia.

His research interests include statistical inference, multiple testing, circular statistics, medical statistics, classification and outlier detection methods, computational statistics, machine learning and computer vision
